The amplifier includes N signal input paths, a high frequency input path for input of a comb-shaped arrangement of N frequency-distributed carrier signals. A structure comprising multiple narrow-band filters connected so that the carrier signal is divided into N different transmission paths. Each of the N carrier signals is modulated with one of the N input sensor signals and coupled out of an individual output path. An independent claim is included for a method of multiplexing, amplifying and up-converting a number of low frequency input signals.
