Composition (A), for coating walls, facade, streets, pavements and public places, comprises at least a binding agent and a photocatalytically effective agent (5-15 (preferably 10) wt.%, based on the total quantity of (A) and/or the binding agent, particularly based on styrene/acrylate, or 2-65 (preferably 15-60) wt.%, based on the total quantity of (A)) with a significant light absorption at a wavelength of 380-500 nm. An independent claim is included for the preparation of (A).
