The control device has a non-linear control element (7), connected parallel to the alarm device (5), which permits no current flow in the other current flow direction if the current is below known threshold value (UO) and if the current corresponds to the threshold value of the differential resistance (RD) having smaller internal resistance than the alarm. An independent claim is also included for the control method.
