The method involves receiving messages corresponding to a message service-protocol with a communication device over a communication network, and detecting whether the message containing an identifier is present under the received messages. Position data from the message is stored into a communication receiver of the device, such that the device is ready for operation and a user interface is provided corresponding to the position. An independent claim is also included for a communication device.
