A method for comparing the copy number at least one nucleic acid sequence in at least two genome sources, said method comprising the steps of:(a) preparing at least one first collection of nucleic acid molecules of a first genome source and a second collection of nucleic acid molecules of a second genome source, wherein the first and second collection of non-reduced complexity are;(b) contacting the first and the second collection of nucleic acid molecules with one or more pluralities of different oligonucleotide feature elements, which on a surface of a solid carrier are bound; and(c) evaluation of the binding of the first and the second collection of nucleic acid molecules to feature elements, in order to the copy number at least one nucleic acid sequence in the at least two genome sources to compare.
