Production of a hollow or closed constant diameter, flexible steel needle with an eye (2) obtained from:polyethylene (PE), polyamide (PA), steel fibers, aramid fibers, PA/aramid mixture or PE/aramid mixture. An independent claim is included for a synthetic plastic nedle with an eye made from PE/aramid or PA/aramid fiber mixture.
