Process for cleaning waste gas from a manufacturing plant (10) for production of calcined profiled carbon bodies including a calcining oven (22), a mass production unit (18) and a molding shop (20) for the green profiled carbon body. The loaded waste gas from unit (18), the molding shop and/or peripheral plant parts (16,66) are cleaned in the waste gas cleaning unit (58) of the calcining oven. The equipment includes a gas transport pipe with outer insulation made from a fiber forming or porous material, e.g. ceramic, stone or glass. Independent claims are included for the following: (a) a manufacturing plant; and (b) a gas transport pipe.
