The device has a front arm and rear arm that are movably fit at a linear guide that is arranged at a frame. A moving unit is provided for upward and downward movement of the linear guide. A cutting unit is provided for intersecting a band (2). The front arm and the rear arm comprises of gripper units for gripping the band. The gripping units are provided to load the band with a predetermined longitudinal stress. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting and fixing a band at a solar cell.
