The sealing bellows (8) for a ball joint has a slide ring (18) which is axially symmetrical to an axis and fastened on the bellows so that it is rotatable relative to the bellows around the aforesaid axis. The slide ring has a fastening section (22) which locks into a recess (16) in the bellows. The slide ring extends in the axial direction at least as far as an axial end face of the sealing bellows where it at least partially covers it. An independent claim is also included for a sub-assembly with a joint housing and a joint pin which comprises a ball section and pin section, whereby the area between the joint housing and joint pin is protected by the aforesaid sealing bellows.
