The flame stop arrangement (1) has at least two flame stop components (2) one behind the other in the flow direction of a burnable gas and provided with a number of gaps for extinguishing a flame coming into contact with the surface of a flame filter component. At least one distance component (5) between the flame stop components is provided in order to form an intermediate space between abutting flame stop components. A distance component is firmly connected at least at points with the surface of a flame stop component. The distance component is a wire grid or wire weave.
