The ventilation device has two pressure regulating valves (1, 2) connected in series with the first connected to the crank housing and the second to the suction intake pipe of the engine. The second pressure regulating valve is set to a working underpressure which is between the maximum underpressure of the suction pipe and the working underpressure of the first valve. The valves each have a spring-loaded closing element formed as an elastic membrane (5,5a).
