The device has a number of segments (2, 2a, 2b) that are made from conductive fabric and form a Faraday cage, and connecting units (7, 8). The segments adjoin together and overlap each other in an edge area. The segments are mechanically and electrically connected to each other. An electrically conducting contact is produced between the segments by using electrically insulated fastening units (5, 6). Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a thermal insulation interconnection system with a device for shielding of buildings and parts of the building (B) a building with a device for shielding of buildings and parts of the buildings.
