The bearing of a shaft of a turbocharger has at least two angular contact ball bearings which are constructed differently with regard to their pressure angle, material of the balls, diameter of the balls and/or coating of the balls and/or their ball tracks. The ball bearing (20) on the turbine side has a larger pressure angle than the bearing (10) on the compressor side, and the diameter of the balls (12) in the turbine side bearing is greater than that of the balls (22) in the compressor side bearing.
