The profile has a contour with rectangular cross section and two longitudinal sides are provided, where the longitudinal sides are designed as front sides. A profile e.g. slot, is provided for connection of a seal (3) or a cover. The profile is designed or arranged such that the connection profile (14) is rotated at an angle of ninety degrees and is mountable on a latch post construction. An independent claim is also included for a latch-plate post construction.
