The unit has a hole transport layer (HTL) (130) and electroluminescence (EL) layer (140) which define a functional arrangement of the optical unit. The HTL and the EL layer have resistors perpendicular to the layer level, where the resistors are varied in a horizontal direction along the layer level. Electrode layers (121, 122) have a contact surface for applying electrical voltage in the edge regions.
