The rudder machine (1) comprises at least two electro-motors (2, 3) from which there are a main motor (2) and a supplementary motor (3). There are at least two redundant sensors (10, 11) to determine the angle of the rudder blade and at least one controller (13). There are at least two redundant controllers (13, 14) that are connected to the main motor and the sensors and a third controller is connected to the supplementary motor, whereby the main motor and supplementary motor having a common drive shaft. The rudder machine may be built as a linear actuator in which the drive shaft of the main and supplementary motors is built as an input shaft of the gear-spindle drive (6).
