The cover frame for a tarpaulin construction, with a number of hoops (8) displaceable along longitudinal members (4) and provided with slides (6) on both ends, and with flaps in the region of the slides for the forced folding of a tarpaulin (5), has each slide form-fitted in a corresponding guide section of two adjacent flaps. The adjacent flaps are constructed to inter-engage. One flap has a protruding section on one end which fits in a recessed section on the other end.
