The suspension has a swinging pivot (22) arranged in a bicycle frame (12) at free end of a guiding lever (24), and a carrier plate (30), which is stationary at the frame. The surface of the carrier plate runs parallel to the plane of the frame. The inner bending edge of the guiding lever is directed to a bottom bracket. A hinge lever (36) is linked at the surface of the carrier plate, which is assigned to the guiding lever.
