The holder has arms (1) each including a cog wheel (3), where the arms are inserted in openings of a holding unit (5) so that the wheels are gripped in a toothed rack of the holding unit. The wheels are gripped in cog rails of a weight (7) as the weight is introduced into the holding unit. The weight rotates the wheels to adjust opening width of arm ends till the ends meet the candle. A collecting tank below the candle collects the wax.
