The device has a permanent magnet (67) arranged in an intermediate space between a stator carrier (34) and a bearing tube (30). A conveying wheel (90) is arranged within a pump housing (86), and connected with a permanent magnet (92). A separation plate (82) is provided between the magnets. The magnet (67) interacts with the magnet (92) to form a magnetic coupling that effects rotation of the conveying wheel by rotating a rotor.
