The toothbrush can be of any suitable shape and is assembled of a long handle (2), a bristle base (1) and several rows of bristles. A small container (3) is either integrated in the neck at the handle or attached to it with an appropriate fastener. The container (3) is filled with a fluid or other substance changing its color or texture when moved for a particular time. When the toothbrush is operated a change of the contents of the container (3) indicates a sufficient duration of the tooth cleaning process.
