The hospital bed has supporting pillars (1), each fitted with a roller (12) for bed movement. At least part of the rollers can be brought into contact with a parking brake . A frame (2) is mounted to the supporting pillars, with a setting mechanism (4) of scissor bars (5) to raise and lower the bed (3).
