The plier has a joint (18), in which jaw parts (14, 16) and handholds (28, 30) are arranged. The jaw parts are firmly connected with the handholds, respectively. The section, surrounding the joint, of the handhold (30) exists as a handhold part (24), and the section of the handhold (28) exists as a handhold part (22). The opposite maximal distance of the parts (22, 24) is not larger than the maximum opposite distance of the jaw parts.
