The dustpan has a base body (1) with a handle (5). The body is formed of a flat sweeping surface and a container. A curvature formed on the sweeping surface, in combination with the sweeping surface forms the container, which can be closed towards the rear by rear wall (10). A rubber lip is formed at the front end of the sweeping surface. The handle is diagonally arranged at the front edge of the sweeping surface.
