The splint (1) is wide with a reinforcing spring steel strip (6) with three guide flaps (2,3,4) which are fixed by touch and close fasteners (5) on the stretch side of the playing arm. The wide splint is reinforced and stabilised by a spring steel strip or material thickening at this point. The guide flaps are arranged to engage round the wrist, the elbow joint and above the upper arm muscle.
