The device for the fitting of a joint tape (2) in a joint of especially a floor covering (4) comprises a base component (5) upon which is attached a holder (6) for a reel (7) loaded with joint tape. At least one joint roller (8,9) mounted on the base component and protruding beyond the base component on its underside enters the joint, whereby the joint tape is guided into the joint. The base component, with the joint roller inserted in the joint, is movable along the joint and during the displacement of the base component an introduction of the joint tape into the joint is made possible.
