The tank has an inlet and outlet (12) and inner compartments (14, 16, 18) providing anaerobic treatment and separation of fats, aerobic treatment of the pre-treated water, and final mechanical filtration. The initial compartment (14) has a decantation chamber with a passage leading to the second compartment (16), in which the pre-treated water is oxygenated by an air injector and clarified in a settling section to avoid the passage of flocculated particles and aerobic bacteria reaching the final compartment. In the latter the clarified water is filtered by a stainless steel mesh, or textile/geotextile filter material.
