SECURITY AUTHENTICATION METHOD ON A WIRELESS NETWORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH 802.11, SYSTEM AND DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTING THE METHOD

The method involves using an identity card e.g. chip card of a user by an authentication server to authenticate the user on a server of a network of different nature than that of a wireless radio frequency (RF) network. The identity card calculates a one time password. The server authorizes the user to access or not the RF network based on comparison result of a user identifier and the password with associated data stored in a database. The wireless radio frequency network is a wireless local area network (WLAN). The network of different nature is a global system for mobile communication (GSM) network. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a system to authenticate a user requesting an access to a wireless radio frequency network (B) a device to authenticate a user requesting an access to a wireless radio frequency network.
