The screen has light emitting diodes (22) respectively associated to different predetermined wave lengths. Electronic units control radiation of each of the diodes in order to display a color among a range of colors obtained by a combination of the colors of the diodes. The electronic units control an electrical current circulating in the diodes and turning on and turning out periods of the diodes. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting color of a backlighted display screen.
