The device has a dividing unit comprising a power transistor (TP1) mounted in series with a power transistor (TP2). The transistors divide a supply voltage (VUSB) and generate a regulated voltage (V out). A retroactive control unit controls the state of the transistors according to a current value of the regulated voltage. The control unit has a reference voltage (VBGP) generating unit that is supplied by the regulated voltage. An independent claim is also included for an electronic circuit comprising a regulation device.
