The method involves winding a sheet product (P) from an edge (2b) of a spool (2) in a manner parallel to the edge (2b) and over a turn. The product is successively wound along a variable angle and a determined zone (A), along a constant angle and a determined zone (B) and along a variable angle and a determined zone (C) until a winding parallel to another edge (2c) of the spool is obtained. A successive winding operation is restarted from the edge (2c) to obtain a complete winding. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a sheet product winding method.
