The temperature of a refrigerating chamber is compared with reference temperature suitable to store the goods in the refrigerating chamber, if the temperature of freezing chamber is not higher than reference temperature suitable for storing goods in freezing chamber. The compressor (31) and refrigerating chamber fan (28) are switched ON and the freezing chamber fan (30) is switched OFF for cooling the refrigerating chamber, when the refrigerating chamber temperature is continuously higher than respective reference temperature for preset period of time. An independent claim is included for refrigerator.
