PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic HC adsorbent material significantly an aromatic hydrocarbon in an exhaust gas, and an aromatic HC reduction system using this.;SOLUTION: The aromatic HC adsorbent material adsorbs the aromatic hydrocarbon in the exhaust gas. The adsorbent material contains a silicon-aluminum based oxidation intermediate. A content of silicon in the oxidation intermediate is larger than an amount of stoichiometry. To the oxidation intermediate, strontium, silver, a titanium oxide and potassium may be doped. The aromatic HC reduction system reduces the aromatic hydrocarbon in the exhaust gas. The aromatic HC adsorbent material is arranged in an upstream side of an exhaust gas flow passage and an oxidation catalyst is arranged in a downstream side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
