PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel selector capable of improving operability in switching a channel.;SOLUTION: The channel selector is provided with a channel selection processing unit 12 for selecting a channel of a broadcast signal Sb to be received with a tuner 11 in a predetermined channel selecting mode; and a control unit 22 for setting the channel selection processing unit 12 at a first channel selecting mode for selecting a channel from among channels allocated to numeral keys, in accordance with an operation of numerical keys in a remote controller 3, or a second channel selecting mode for selecting a channel of a channel number entered, in accordance with an entry operation of the channel number using the numerical keys. When an operation of numerical keys is performed twice within a predetermined time in a state where the channel selection processing unit 12 is set in the first channel selecting mode, the control unit 22 executes channel selection mode switching processing for switching and setting the channel selection processing unit 12 from the first channel selecting mode to the second channel selecting mode.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
