PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simulation for an occurrence of an air pocket in an object to be coated of high accuracy by taking an angle of inclination of the object to be coated, the surface tension generated between the object and a liquid coating material, a flow velocity of the liquid coating material in a coating material tank, and a flow direction of the liquid coating material into consideration.;SOLUTION: The method is provided with a region dividing step of dividing the data on the shape of the object to be coated dipped in the coating material tank and the data on the periphery thereof into the plurality of regions; an element dividing step of dividing the data on the shape of the object into the plurality of the elements; a first judging step of judging whether the element is air or the liquid coating material relating to the element; and a second judging step of judging whether the element judged to be the air is the air or the liquid coating material within the region where the element judged to be the air belongs by referencing a database associating whether an air bubble sticking to the object desorbs or not in the relationship with the angle of inclination of the object, the surface tension generated between the object and the liquid coating material, the flow velocity of the liquid coating material in the coating material tank, and the flow direction of the liquid coating material with respect to the element judged to be the air.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
