PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality improvement support technique contributing to effective quality improving activity, which can specify, based on accumulated trouble information, a weak point of a related department and also present an instruction for countermeasure to the weak point.;SOLUTION: The quality improvement support system comprises a trouble phenomenon database containing at least data of trouble causes for individual trouble phenomena. The system calculates a risk point showing the degree of trouble improvement emergency for each trouble cause in the trouble phenomenon database (S16 and S19). The system then determines a trouble cause whose risk point exceeds a predetermined threshold as a weak point (S17 and S20).
