PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform karaoke contest in team matches. PSOLUTION: The karaoke contest system is so arranged that the karaoke apparatus reserves a performance according to a musical piece ID and a singer ID, transmitting the musical piece ID to a contest server and having a ranking list sent back, displaying the ranking, after the performance, according to the score based on the skill of singing during the performance, transmitting a combination of grading data, musical piece ID, and singer ID to the contest server and having a report according to teams sent back and displaying the report; the contest server associates with and manages the singers and team IDs, sending back the ranking list, corresponding to the musical piece ID from the karaoke apparatus, updating the ranking list, when the combination is received from the karaoke apparatus, putting the combination of the musical piece ID/singer ID/ranking together by team IDs, and transmitting the result of the sort processing to the karaoke apparatus as a report by teams.
