OXIDIZING AGENT AND DOPANT FOR SYNTHESIS OF CONDUCTIVE POLYMER, ITS ALCOHOL SOLUTION, CONDUCTIVE POLYMER SYNTHESIZED THEREWITH AND SOLID ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR PRODUCED BY USING THE CONDUCTIVE POLYMER AS SOLID ELECTROLYTE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidizing agent and dopant for the synthesis of a conductive polymer without generating precipitate for a definite period even in the state of an alcohol solution, a conductive polymer having high conductivity and excellent heat-resistance and produced by using the oxidizing agent and dopant or its alcohol solution, and a solid electrolytic capacitor produced by using the polymer as a solid electrolyte and having high reliability under a high-temperature high-humidity condition.;SOLUTION: The agent usable as an oxidizing agent and a dopant is a ferric salt of a benzenesulfonic acid derivative having a water-content of 5 mass% and expressed by general formula (1) (R is a 1-4C alkyl or alkoxy) wherein the compound having the R group and the SO3H group at para-positions on the benzene ring acccounts for 90 mol% of the total derivative. A conductive polymer is synthesized by polymerizing thiophene or its derivative using the oxidizing agent and dopant or its solution in methanol, ethanol or n-butanol, and a solid electrolytic capacitor is produced by using the conductive polymer as a solid electrolyte.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
