PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new species of Pleurotus eryngii mushroom bearing novel-shaped grown-up carpophores so as to promote efficiency in packaging work at the time of harvesting the mushrooms at a farm house or distributing them in the market. PSOLUTION: The new species of Pleurotus eryngii mushroom is found out through the following process: selecting one strain (Eringii FI-21) having short fungi stalks adhering to each other to be formed into a stock state while having low yield; performing mating breeding between the strain and an existing cultured strain (Eringii originated in Fukushima) having high yield as parent strains; selecting one stain having a strain-state generation form and a short stalk, and excellent in yield; performing repeated cultivation of the selected strain under various environments; and confirming the shapes of the carpophores and stability of high yield.
