PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for precisely and quantitatively evaluating a long rolled web.;SOLUTION: In the method for evaluating the surface profile with respect to the widthwise direction of the long rolled web, the surface profile is expressed by a two-dimensional curve, and the two-dimensional curve is processed by data processing in relation to the mean center line so that the surface profile is quantified, thereby determining the unevenness in the thickness of the long rolled web.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
