PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent interference between teeth of a first partially missing gear and a driving gear and occurrence of noise in an intermittent rotary drive device having the first partially missing gear and a second partially missing gear coaxially provided, for restarting an engagement of the first partially missing gear which has been temporarily stopped with the driving gear by using a resilient force of a spring provided between both the first and second partially missing gears.;SOLUTION: A cylindrical part 21 is coaxially formed with the driving gear 10, and a leaf spring part 22 with its tip end abutting on the cylindrical part 21 is formed near a missing section 11a of the first partially missing gear 11. When the missing section 11a of the first partially missing gear 11 reaches the position of the driving gear 10, the plate spring part 22 pushes the cylindrical part 21 of the driving gear 10 in the outer peripheral direction, and the first partially missing gear 11 rotates in the normal rotation direction by its reaction force. At this time, a force (arrow A) in a reverse direction is applied on the first partially missing gear 11 by resilient force of a compression spring 17. Reverse rotation of the first partially missing gear 11 by this applied force is prevented, and interference between the first partially missing gear 11 and the driving gear 10 is prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
