PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perfectly and efficiently remove the stuck material of sand, etc., stuck on a hollow part of a casting. ;SOLUTION: The sand removing device arranges a main frame 3 rotatable by driving a cylinder on a base table 1 and fits a sub-frame 5 providing a work laying surface 8 for laying a cylinder head S in this main frame 3. The sub-frame 5 is connected with an outlet shaft of main cylinder fitted to the cylinder head S so as to vibrate according to the drive of this air cylinder 7. Then, in the sub-frame 5, a holder 6 is arranged so as to hold the cylinder head S laid on a work laying surface 8 by interposing with the sub-frame 5 and the holder 6. Further, a tank 13 incorporating many granular bodies is arranged in the sub-frame 5, and at the time of inclining the main frame 3, these granular bodies is made to introduce into a water jacket in the cylinder head S through a communicating passage formed in the sub-frame 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
