PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attract attention to voice guidance by synthesizing and voicing various guidance speeches by using speech data of a plurality of kinds of characters and then making the speech themselves attractive.;SOLUTION: A speech synthesizer is equipped with: a speech unit data storage means for inputting text data in dialogue tone of a plurality of characters and storing them by having storage areas where speech unit data corresponding to the characters are stored by the characters; a storage area specifying means for designating a storage area where speech unit data are recorded to detect the speech unit data corresponding to each character of text data; and a speech unit editing means for detecting corresponding speech unit data according to the designation of the storage area specifying means to synthesize a speech.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
