PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the stability of a complex catalyst by which the decrease of catalytic activities is suppressed by an easy operation in the reaction of the hydroformlation of an olefin by using a group VIII metallic complex catalyst. ;SOLUTION: This method of the hydroformlation reaction of an olefin by subjecting the olefin to the hydroformylation reaction by using a group VIII metallic complex catalyst in a uniform liquid phase, and circulating the catalyst solution separated from the hydroformylation reaction solution to the reaction, comprises separating and removing the insoluble material produced in the hydroformylation reaction step and/or the separation step of the catalyst solution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
