PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for carrying out excavated soil smoothly in a pneumatic caisson by preventing contact between an excavation machine and a soil bucket. ;SOLUTION: In a method for carrying out excavated soil in a pneumatic caisson 1, the ground around and direct under a shaft 6 of the pneumatic caisson 1 is bored and the bored portion is filled with material such as mortar or sand before excavation and immersion of the pneumatic caisson 1. Then, the filling material 15 in the bored portion is excavated to form a hole 16 for settling a soil bucket 12a, the soil bucket 12 is settled in the hole 16, excavated materials are loaded into the soil bucket 12, and the excavated materials is carried out of a working space 5 with the soil bucket 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
