The present invention relates to a gene derived from a novel strain of fulminant hepatitis C virus, an HCV replicon RNA having high replication efficiency using the gene, and an HCV replicon-replicating cell into which the replicon RNA has been introduced. If the HCV replicon RNA and HCV replicon-replicating cells of the present invention are used, HCV protein can be continuously produced in large quantities.
