Some types of cancer cells express one or more Toll-like receptors (TLRs). These TLRsare therapeutic targets. The invention relates to methods for treating Toll-likereceptor expressing cancers and tumor cells by selecting a TLR expressing tumorcell and contacting the cell with a therapeutically effective amount of a TLRligand. The invention particularly relates to methods for treating TLR3 expressingcancers and tumor cells using TLR3 agonists.
