The roof rods (6) and crossbeams (42) between these rods are designed to be able to remove condensation, which is removed via the crossbeams and supplied to the rods. The crossbeam contains a drain which is connected to one in the rod. The crossbeam comprises a rolled steel profile with a U-shaped cross-section, the drain being formed by the inside of the U. An independent claim is also included for a method for constructing a greenhouse roof by installing rods between the crests and gutters and connecting the crossbeams between the rods by locating one end of the crossbeam in an opening in a rod.
