5-phenythiazole derivatives and use as phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (Pi3 kinase) inhibitors

5-phenythiazole derivative compounds of formula (I) in free form or salt form are disclosed, wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5, have the meanings as indicated in the specification. These compounds particularly exhibit the inhibition of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (Pi3 kinase) enzymes, especially the gamma isoform (p110gamma), which are responsible for generating phosphorylated signalling products, hence, these compounds are useful for treating diseases mediated by phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (Pi3 kinase). Pharmaceutical compositions that contain these compounds and processes for preparing these compounds are also disclosed.
