METHOD FOR ESTIMATING PARAMETERS CHARACTERISTIC OF SHAPE OF PERIPHERAL BLOOD CELLS

The method for estimating the parameters characteristic of the shape of the peripheral blood cells comprises the fixation and the staining of the fresh blood smears and the cytochemical detection of the specified parameter. Then images of the stained cell are processed with the aid of the computer using the digital system of the filets. Then the linear parameters such as the cell perimeter and the perimeter of the circumscribing ellipse as well as the cell area and the area of the circumscribing circle are measured and the parameters characteristic of the shape of the peripheral blood cells are estimated.
